We offer counselling to people in Nottingham and the surrounding area who are aged 50 and over. Our service specialises in counselling for older people.
People come for counselling for many reasons: because of bereavement, family problems, loneliness, domestic abuse, health worries, and issues from the distant past as well as now. Emotional difficulties can affect anyone, and most people might benefit from counselling at some point in their lives.
Counselling involves meeting with a trained person once a week for about an hour and talking through those things that concern you. Counsellors won’t give you advice. They work with you to help you come to your own insights and awareness about issues that are troubling you, helping you to find a way forward. Counsellors accept you for who you are and strive to understand your feelings and perspectives.
